Entering the gates of winter and giving ourselves the opportunity to drop into an intensive daily practice, preparing the soil for a fruitful wintery rest, recovering and invigorating.Winter can be a time of gathering and nesting, we propose to you to do so in Omshanti.
Allowing the year to come to be celebrated with movements, dancing and breathing, in our bodies and in our ears, and enter the new year to a smooth transition with a concert on the 31st with dupper musicians!

6 Days Residential retreat in nature. 30 minutes from Barcelona, with nice green(maybe white) views, fresh air, delicious vegan food and steam bath nights.

We want to invite you for an exploration of the possibilities that can arise when acrobati
cs, breath and movement are combined. Partner acrobatic, contemporary dance and yoga shall be united to bring our togetherness and playfulness at its peak! Working with these three techniques to establish ourselves into a conscious body and then forget about the form and reach a state of concentration, a state where intuitive perceptions would guide the motions.

Wooly hats and fluffy socks to sit by the fire are more than welcome!

FOUR ELEMENTS TO PLAY WITH

  •  NewYear2LR.jpgDance: We have a body to play, to discover, to move, but are we using it to it’s real potential? We’ll explore different paths to develop this awareness of the dancing body to create a dynamic map of this body in motion. An important aspect is to first learn the movement, then to dance it, making it your own, forget about the choreography to enter a deeper connection with one’s own moving body.
  • Yoga: Yoga means Union. Yoga is an internal state where we unify what we feel, what we think and what we do to reach harmony. Breath is the center piece that connects body with mind and soul. Breath leads the movement, and brings us to a state of inner awareness, free of expectations and forms.
  • AcroYoga: blends the wisdom of yoga, the dynamic power of acrobatics, and the loving kindness of healing arts. These three lineages form the foundation of a practice that cultivates trust, playfulness, and community.
  • Thai Massage: Traditional Thai massage dates back to some 2500 years ago in India, in times of Ayurvedic and Yogic healing. It was brought over to Thailand as a medical practice by a famous Indian doctor “Jivaka Kumar Baccha”, the Buddha’s personal physician and doctor of the monks in the monasteries of that time. Thai massage makes up the core of traditional Thai medicine and is for this reason that the treatment is more of a spiritual practice, closely connected with the teachings of the Buddha.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE INFO
Start - The course starts with a dinner on the 27th of December. We will pick you up from Granollers Centre train station on Tuesday afternoon, at 4pm. If you will not be able to make it during this time let us know!

HOW TO GET TO OMSHANTI
The best way to get here from anywhere in the world is to fly into Barcelona Airport. If you choose Girona or Reus things get complicated (email us for info on that). From Barcelona Airport: It’s super easy. The train station is in T2 (Terminal 2).You just jump on the first train and they all go in the right direction. It will take you one hour and you will be in GRANOLLERS CENTRE train station. That’s where we pick you up. Trains run every 30 minutes. The last one is around 11pm.

From Barcelona city centre: Every 25 minutes there is a train going to GRANOLLERS CENTRE from Barcelona and it takes around 30 minutes to get here. You have the right connection if you go to Barcelona Sants, Clot Aragó, Passeig de Gràcia or Sant Andreu Comptal (be aware there is also a Granollers Canovelles station, which is not the one we pick you up from).

SOCIAL PRICE: The more students come, the lower the price will be. We rather distribute the profits equally among students, venue and teachers.

  • 10 students  520€ (includes meals & accommodation + New Year concert)
  • 15 students  470€ (includes meals & accommodation + New Year concert)
  • 20 students  420€ (includes meals & accommodation + New Year concert)

* 420€ Non Residential (includes breakfast, lunch & New Year's eve)
* an outside hotel could also be arranged, contact us for this option.
